What is it?

This type of floor is made of pebbles (rounded stones) of varying grain size, bound together with a specialised resin binder, usually polyurethane or epoxy. Its main characteristic and advantage is its porous nature, which lets rainwater pass straight through the surface and soak into the ground below. This prevents puddles, reduces surface run-off and helps recharge groundwater, minimising the environmental impact.

Main advantages

• Superior drainageEliminates puddles and flooding, keeping the surface usable even after heavy rain. Ideal for areas with water run-off problems.
• Attractive appearanceA natural, elegant finish available in a wide range of pebble colours and textures, allowing custom designs that blend with the landscape.
• Durability and resistanceThe resin provides high resistance to wear, traffic (pedestrian and light/medium vehicles), weather, UV rays and chemicals.
• Low maintenanceRequires little upkeep. The porous surface reduces weed and moss growth and is easy to clean (just sweep or use a pressure washer).
• Comfort and safetyThe surface is non-slip, even when wet, providing greater safety. It is also softer underfoot than asphalt or rigid paving.
• SustainabilityContributes to sustainable rainwater management, reducing the load on drainage systems and promoting natural infiltration.
